Proud.
When it comes to product and product design, I am very demanding – with others, but especially with myself. Though I’m very optimistic in general, when it comes to evaluating a product, I’m a glass-half-empty guy, focusing only on bugs and flaws.
But last week, during a meeting, I mentioned to my co-founder Jean-Yves Poilleux that I was finally proud of the product we have been building for more than two years. He told me I should shout about it – and so this is me, taking his advice :)
At folk, we have reached a tipping point where the product is a pleasure to use, looks great, and feels fast. Using folk on a daily basis is both fun and efficient.
Don’t get me wrong, there are still a lot of improvements pending. But in my humble experience, I know that from this critical point begins the happiest part of the product journey.
If we continue with the same speed, attention to detail, passion for the product, and high standards, everything will compound. And an ever-improving product combined with an increasing number of users triggers the coveted viral loop, aka Product-led Growth.
I am so proud of what we have built at folk; not only of the product we have released, but especially of the team we have created. 🙏
